Can’t wait to return! Loved our hosts and especially loved Daisy the pig when we stayed a few months ago. Hoping to come back soon for another stay. Highly recommend.

Great place to get away from it all This is a great place to get away from the city. Awesome, friendly budget accommodation. Rooms are spacious. The shared kitchen is well equipped and sparkling clean. All areas are clean and warm. We regularly come down as a family. The movie room and social area is great for the kids to unwind after an active day. This trip was just me. This is an ideal base for adventures.
Very nice owners. Lots of space. Kids friendly.

Great convenient location and value for money Lovely host who looked after us and made sure we had a comfortable visit. Great location and amenities - clean kitchen for cooking breakfast. Very clean and warm room for those winter months. Great value for backpackers
Charming warm and with excellent facilities, this little hostile was a welcome surprise on trip. It is situated in a beautiful location that is secluded but never too far away from the surrounding activities.
Affordable and accommodating We've been staying at the Crossing for a number of years and the new-ish owners have made a great job of keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and today, as well as stocked with plenty of cutlery, utensils and tea towels. There's also a lot of great signage and information about. The bunks are very comfortable and we love staying here because it's central in-between Whakapapa and Turoa so we have a choice of the two.

Great Hostel!! Nice and warm, comfortable beds & a great location to both ski fields. Also, there’s a secret room somewhere within the hostel for you to find. Thanks for a great stay!

Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed with. Friendly staff. Well-maintained facilities.

My go-to hostel when I’m heading to Tongariro.
Great value, everything you need. We’ve stayed at The Crossing many times for ski trips. Perfect hosts, providing rooms that should suit everyone. Excellent value for money in a great location. We use the larger self-contained rooms with a small kitchen. Or- the communal kitchen is available. Plus a super exciting games room with a surprise! Report Review
